TERM: This contest will last from January 6, 2006 - January 6, 2011. If extended, the ending date will be changed within these contest rules.

VALID EMAIL ADDRESS: Some companies engage in Unsolicited Commercial Email (spam). We support your use of temporary, non-standard, or spam catching email accounts when submitting your Zippo Free entry to us. As a minimum, you must be able to confirm your email as valid after entering the drawing, and you must be able to respond to the winning email notification within the time constraints as listed in the notification section below.

 Unless you email us with questions, you will receive the absolute minimum possible emails from us:

MAIN PRIZES: Four (4) winners per month will receive an authentic Zippo brand lighter with a retail value of between $18.95 and $26.95 each. The style, design, and color is to be determined by Zippo Free depending on the current stock on hand. In some cases Zippo Free will give winners the choice of colors, if this is the case winner's will be notified of their choices within their winning notification email or on the winners acceptance page. All Zippo lighter prizes will have the printed or engraved URL to one of the web sites within our network of family friendly web sites for advertising purposes. No Zippo lighters are shipped with lighter fluid, it is the responsibility of the winner to obtain lighter fluid and to follow all of Zippo Manufacturing's operating and safety instructions.

BONUS PRIZES: Each of the four (4) winners per month will also receive a free pack of genuine Zippo flints (6 per dispenser) and a free wick pack (1 per package). The combined retail value of the Zippo flint and wick packs is $1.79.

OTHER PRIZES: For promotional purposes Zippo Free may opt to conduct a yearly grand prize drawing. Names for this drawing will be obtained from the years total winners. The grand prize will be a unique, limited edition or custom Zippo lighter to be determined by Zippo Free with a value between $27.95 and $49.95. The style, design, and color is to be determined by Zippo Free. All Zippo lighter prizes will have the printed or engraved URL to one of our partnered web sites for advertising purposes.

ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries received during the month.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: You may enter the contest one time per drawing month by completing the online entry form and providing your first name and a valid e-mail address (limit one online entry per person and per e-mail address). All entries must be received by the last day of the month in order to qualify for the current months drawing. If an entrant uses multiple e-mail addresses to submit more than one online entry, only the first entry will count. The prize winners will be selected by a random drawing the first week of each month. Zippo Free is not responsible for entries that are late, lost, or misdirected and reserves the right to modify scheduling of the contest drawing dates without prior notice. One entry per person per monthly drawing.

NOTIFICATION: The prize winners for a current month will be notified by email on or before the 7th of the following month. Winners will receive a unique winners code that must be entered into the online winner acceptance form. This form ensures we have a valid postal mailing address in order to ship the main and bonus prizes. Failure to complete the winner acceptance form within 30 days makes the winning entry null and void. The 30 day start time commences the day your winning notification is mailed to you by Zippo Free. This requirement applies regardless if the notification email was sent to a spam folder, was accidentally deleted, or otherwise not received by you for any reason. Zippo Free does not take responsibility for lost or misdirected emails sent to the email address you provided at the time you completed the online entry form. Alternate winner(s) are chosen after 30 days.

ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open only to adult residents of the U.S. and its territories, possessions and commonwealths and to the residents of Canada which are 18 years old and above. Employees and their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses) of Zippo Free are NOT ELIGIBLE. All participants and/or entrants release Zippo Free and their agents, advertising and promotion agencies, affiliated companies, contest partners and prize suppliers, and all of their respective affiliated companies and employees, from and against all claims and damages arising in connection with each entrant's participation and/or entry in the contest and/or their receipt or use of any prize awarded in this contest. Any and all warranties and guarantees are subject to Zippo manufacturing terms and conditions. Zippo Manufacturing provides for a lifetime repair guarantee. This contest is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.

CONDITIONS: Zippo Free, its participating sponsors and organizations, state agencies, officers, employees and agents are not in any way liable for damage, loss or injury from entering the contest or acceptance and use of any Zippo Free main, bonus or grand prize item. By submitting an entry, participants accept and agree to these rules and the decisions of Zippo Free which shall be final. Winners assume complete liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this contest, or the use or misuse of any prizes. Zippo Free reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend this contest should causes beyond the control of Free Zippo corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the contest. Winners will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release, which must be completed and returned via email at the time the winner provides mailing information. Taxes, handling and postal fees are the responsibility of Zippo Free. By accepting a prize, winner grants Zippo Free permission for the use of his/her first initial, complete last name and state of residence for advertising and future promotion purposes without additional compensation except where prohibited.
